On arrival, you will be met by an EL Classical Adventures representative who will drive you to your accommodation at Maru Maru Hotel in Stone Town.
You will spend the first night in Stone Town for a day of relaxation with amazing views of the old city, awaiting your activities, which start the following day.
On this day, after breakfast, you will go for a trip to Prison Island.
The Prison Island, also known as Changuu Island, is located in the western part of Zanzibar Island, just off Stone Town. It takes around 25 minutes by local boat riding from the Stone Town beach.
The island’s main attraction is the popular Giant Tortoises, which can live up to 200 years. On this tour, you will get a chance to explore and learn the history of these beautiful creatures and also about Prison Island itself.
You will be with our expert local tour guide, who will be explaining each area of interest.
Apart from being a place where you can go to see the Giant Tortoises, it also is a perfect destination to do swimming and relaxing on the beach. After receiving all the information about the Island, you will have time for swimming and relaxing on the beach for the whole day. Then, in the evening, you will go back to your accommodation at Maru Maru Hotel in Stone Town.

On this day, after breakfast, you will go walking around the village.
There are a lot of things to see around Nungwi Village, and locals are very much used to seeing tourists. The village market is host to a lot of items, from local fruits and vegetables to souvenir items.

Then, after lunchtime on this day, you will go back to Stone Town, ready for a flight to Arusha. Then, you will drive to your accommodation at Ilboru Safari Lodge, where you will spend a night awaiting your activities, which start the following day.

In the morning, you will be collected from your lodgings in Arusha by our safari guide. You’ll set out for Tarangire National Park on a good tarmac road across gently rolling Maasai plains with scattered acacia trees. As you zip along, you’ll pass many Maasais in their colorful dresses walking on the roadside, riding bicycles, herding cattle, and driving donkey carts. Tarangire, well known for its large elephant herds, is also host to a multitude of other creatures. From the open roof of our state-of-the-art safari jeep, you’ll experience the seasonal swamps, savannah, and life-giving Tarangire River. Endeavor to encounter a multitude of creatures, from zebra to wildebeest, buffalo, elephant, and giraffe, to name a few. We may glimpse lions stalking prey or leopards watching, relaxing in the trees above.
After 7 hours of game drive, it will be the end of our trip.
