7-Day Fly-in Safari to Serengeti, Ngorongoro & Tarangire

Upon arrival at the airport (Kilimanjaro International Airport-JRO or Arusha Airport-ARK), you will be met by your personal driver guide or representative. They will drive you to your accommodation in Arusha for an overnight stay waiting for your adventures to start the following day.

After breakfast, transfer to Arusha Airport for your scenic flight to Serengeti National Park. Upon landing, embark on your first game drive in the park, famous for its sweeping plains and abundant wildlife, including the iconic Big Five. Your camp, Awali Serengeti Camp, offers a luxurious tented experience with a perfect view of the Serengeti wilderness. Enjoy a sunset game drive before dinner under the African stars.

Early morning after breakfast, you will continue exploring the vast Serengeti with its endless plains looking for the big cats. The Serengeti hosts the largest mammal migration in the world and is a popular destination for African safaris. It is the migration for which Serengeti is perhaps most famous. Over a million wildebeest and about 200,000 zebras flow south from the northern hills to the southern plains for the short rains every October and November. They then swirl west and north after the long rains in April, May and June. So strong is the ancient instinct to move that no drought, gorge, or crocodile infested river can hold them back. After lunch, you will drive straight to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, embark on a game drive through the Serengeti en route to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site, for a half-day game drive. This unique ecosystem is home to a dense concentration of wildlife, including black rhinos, hippos, and hyenas. In the afternoon, ascend the crater rim and proceed to Embalakai Ngorongoro Camp for your overnight stay, nestled in the lush highlands.

After breakfast, depart Ngorongoro and drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its massive baobab trees and large herds of elephants. Enjoy an afternoon game drive, where you can spot a variety of animals including giraffes, buffaloes, and diverse birdlife. Arrive at Ang’ata Tarangire Camp, a tented camp located in a peaceful area of the park, for dinner and overnight.

Spend a full day exploring Tarangire National Park, with morning and afternoon game drives. The park is known for its seasonal swamps, which attract predators and prey alike, and the life-giving Tarangire River, which draws animals during the dry season. In addition to elephants, you may spot lions, leopards, and cheetahs as they roam the park. Return to Ang’ata Tarangire Camp for a relaxing evening.

After a morning game drive, enjoy lunch and then journey back to Arusha. You’ll either be dropped off at your hotel in Arusha or transferred directly to the airport for your onward flight.
